In this game of Civ 6, we’ll be playing as Maori in our latest Civilization VI A to Z challenge. The mission? To win a game whilst starting right in the iciest dregs of the world, all the whilst SAVING THE WORLD from the sins of CO2!

We’re going to try and win a run with Kupe where we generate no CO2, chop down no feature or resource, and in addition DESTROY whoever is polluting most come the industrial age… This should be fun!

A subtle benefit of playing the Maori is that you don't need as many builders, since woods and rainforests provide excellent production as is, so you don't need lumber mills and with the Marae you're better off keeping the woods/rainforest rather than chopping them and replacing them with mines or other improvements. And BTW, the districts that affect spy travel time, from slowest to fastest, are commercial hubs, harbours and areodromes.

I headcannon that due to your lack of specialty districts, your yields come from like small businesses in your empire local to just that tile

“The AI does not know what to do against super tough cities“ I disagree on this because the AI has two excellent strategies it will try:
1. Embark super strong units and smash them against walls
2. Produce 1 Million super weak units in the hope that some will go through and after 100 units the city is dead.
