2020 - Summer - Complete ESP Midterm Briefings Final

During the Midterm Briefings, students will present their preliminary findings as a part of ENVP U9229 The Workshop in Applied Earth Systems Management I. Students enroll in small, faculty-advised project teams. Each Workshop faculty member selects a piece of proposed, but not yet enacted, state, federal, or local environmental law (or a U.N. resolution), and students are asked to develop a plan for implementing and managing the new program. In the summer semester, the Workshop groups write reports explaining the environmental science aspects of the issue that the legislation addresses and the management solutions that the legislation would put into place.

This semester's projects include:
• Water Power Research and Development Act
• United States Department of Defense Climate Resilience and Readiness Act
• Wildlife Conservation and Anti-Trafficking Act of 2019
• Agriculture Resilience Act
• Advancing Emergency Preparedness Through One Health Act of 2019
