Big thanks to @KennedyViolins for making this possible and for letting us prepare those violins in such "interesting" ways 🎻 Also huge thanks to @ColburnSchoolLosAngeles for supporting the event 🙌🏼

Little girl sealed her fate by having the best reason for wanting a violin. Always fun to see Ray working with kids. Also I loved that girl hitting the cowbell.

The fact that they could play so well with the string swapped is amazing

All the contestants did a great job, I loved their good humour and can-do attitude. The crowd also worked perfectly together to rob Ray blind.

Ray is the type of violinist to interact with people in the most friendly way and also have a great sense of humor. Keep it up, Ray!

How the heck does does a guy like Ray exist. Looks perfect, plays perfect, interacts perfect and can actually host!

Ray, bring the busker back! I'm glad the girl won but he actually played the best and there's some real talent there. He seemed very introverted and didn't sell himself very well, but I found him fantastic and also the fact that he wanted a violin for busking could mean he may have some money issues. I'd love to hear him more, his sound was great, he just was holding back verbally. Love what you do, Ray, you're a Ray of sunshine!! Much love from Germany!

Thanks, Ray Chen, for making classical music more "people friendly" by taking it out of the concert hall and in that way maybe inspire more young people to engage with it!

The "Need a back-up violin!" killed me 😂

great job building up students. that's what a master does. not sit on a pile of glory, but to give it out and give it away!!!! I love your encouragement to students. fantastic work.

That was the first time Ray played Paganini 1 and he did it without sheet music? That's incredible.

Ray's jovial personality just shines through in this video! He's great with the audience and the kids, who I think will always cherish the memory of sharing the stage with Ray.

Ray, we love you, and you did a fantastic job with the kids, especially with the manipulated violins. But, we are partial to struggling college students. I thoroughly enjoyed watching you broaden not only your horizon, but to raise the bar for the students. It was a lifetime opportunity to compete against you. They will treasure this learnong and growth. Seeing the adaptation was phenomenal. Sorry they robbed you blind. The crowd was blissfully biased for the kids.

The defeated transition from paganini to howl's moving castle at 12:53 made me cackle out loud
