Iceland Walking Tour - Akranes [4K]

Akranes is a port town and municipality on the west coast of Iceland, around 50 km (31 mi) north of the capital Reykjavík. Akranes was settled in the 9th century by the brothers Þormóður and Ketill, sons of Bresi, who came from Ireland. The town started to form in the mid-17th century as a fishing village.

Akranes! One of my favorite place in Iceland. So calm and peaceful. Was there in 2016. It was great to go fishing on boat in the early morning. Lighthouse are also nice ^_^

💯💯💯 The most places i liked in Iceland are Kerlingarfjöll, landmannalaugar, Askja, Mývatn, Höfn, Skaftafell Park and whole area and Raufarhöfn city. In Djúpivogur there is a Hotel called Hotel Framtid. The best!!
