I was genuinely surprised how good the series is. I was 100% sure it was going to be a silly show aimed towards 12 year olds, but it blew me away. It has the painfully awkward yet brilliant humor of Napoleon Dynamite, quirky and charming characters, drama, and amazing acting and character development.

I loved that in the second half of the season that there was some more character development. Especially Miranda in the last part of the episode. Emily is my fav character and I'm a big Mirandick fan.
