a quick side note for anyone playing at 1080p. i would suggest leaving the dlss sharpening on 0. anything above makes vertical lines really jagged. almost looks like you took away the anti aliasing.

WARNING FOR V-SYNC USERS AND LOW FPS IN CINEMATICS

If you have painfull cinematics, try lowering distance view

If, like me, you need to use v-sync in your games, because of tearing, you should turn it off from the game and enable it in your Nvidia control panel. You can do it for HG Legacy only or for all your games. I had huge problems to run the game in certains areas, Hogsmeade for exemple was unplayable, but after enabling v-sync from the control panel my game now run smoothly.

If you have bigs stutters and fps drops while using the in game v-sync, try this. I don't guarantee that it will work for everybody, but you have nothing to lose to give it a try. And tell me if it has worked for you.

Thanks, I have a 5600x, 2070 and 64gb of RAM. I'm capping out my monitor at 144 fps at 2560x1440 with these settings and still looks good. I may even bump some settings up.

Hello, I don’t agree with your hard stance on some settings. For example, Ray Tracing is not something you have to turn off. You should recommend this on or off based on percent of FpS drop and leave that choice to the viewer. Someone with a 4080 most definitely can run it, and if you e got a 4090, you SHOULD be running with it on. A little more math and less subjective opinion on some of these settings would be ideal.

i have intel core i7 11800h and rtx3070 and i have lags... fps can drop from 120 to 10 at hogwarts at some places like the hall by library and in hogsmed.I dont know how to fix this

With Nvidia geforce freestyler you can add filters for increasing vibrance saturation and contrast to specific games, cause digital vibrance from control panel is globally

Holy cow, dude I just set dlss sharpness to 0.6 and my fps became 60 solid with almost no stutter. Rtx 3070 4k tv, dlss performance, ultra settings, no rt

I ran this game on my build with a 6700xt and a Ryzen 7 5800x3d locked at 75 fps all high setting and ray teacing works. Only dipped a little. That’s until you got to a cut scene and it dropped hard into the teens. Now I’m running all high setting locked at 120 and it’s awesome. Gonna try your settings when I get home.
