One of the most significant bands to rise out of the American Roots music circuit is Knoxville, TN based The Black Lillies. The band offers incredible musicianship highlighting strong lyrics and the unmistakable vocals of frontman Cruz Contreras and frontwoman Trisha Gene Brady. Brady is a vocal gift...soulful always, twangy when needed and beautifully powerful alongside Contreras. The band has seen changes along the way but the current lineup makes them one of the most formidable bands on the roots circuit. Find them when they are near you which is often as this band tours tirelessly throughout the year. They graced the extended Play sessions in August and the result is staggeringly good!
