British MK4 Osprey Body Armour

British MK4 Osprey Body Armour/Plate carrier.
I don't have the official armour inserts for this so am improvising by sourcing cheaper armour to use inside it instead, I don't plan to get much use out of this other than as a SHTF/WROL last resort vest, considering how bulky it is.
The vest has room for a front and back kevlar panel and a front and back trauma plate.
I have put the Scott GSR in it's satchel on the back of the vest like a rucksack.

That looks really good the for the price, well worth getting and great set up mate, i'm sure that thick chopping board would stop a 175lb crossbow or very much stop it anyway

I recently bought one, it'll arrive tommorow. The things i don't like with an ECBA, is that it is hard to get plates and Kevlar, and i have to play with webbing to use it with pouches. I think MK4 is more practical, because of molle and more universal plate and kevlar size.

you cant really get soft armour filler or mil spec ceramic plates for these vest, the MOD let soldiers take their carriers home but most of the time they take the soft filler and ceramic plates so good luck finding those. youre likely better off buying steel plates from somewhere like AR500 steel or something if you want hard armour in these.

Can you point me in the direction of getting the hard plates and soft fillings? I’m struggling to find any for sale online.
