During this IVF Life Stories session, we were joined by Laura-Rose Thorogood, Founder of LGBT Mummies, who shared her powerful and personal journey through fertility and parenthood.
A married lesbian mother of 4 donor-conceived children, Laura has experienced IUI, IVF, miscarriage, failed cycles, secondary infertility, operative birth, and birth trauma — offering a truly honest and wide-ranging perspective.
As both a biological and non-biological parent, and an LGBT+, maternity and fertility activist, Laura brought wisdom, warmth, and advocacy to the conversation. Through LGBT Mummies, she supports a global community of over 80,000 families with guidance, resources, and events.
The session was hosted by Tracey Sainsbury, Fertility Counsellor and Co-author of Making Friends with Your Fertility.
