This song literally describes the difference between the boys' pe and girls' pe in my school

I used to think of it as some sort of abuse. Some part being about a kids’ parents having a strong belief about boys and girls and how they should behave, while another being about sexual or physical abuse. The sexual/physical abuse idea came from, “Hush girl oh hush girl just bat your eyes.” as if it was almost time for court. The “Play our little game, ”added to it for the girl’s part. The “Hush boy, oh hush boy don’t say a word, ” added to it at first. But then I heard, “Throw on a jersey no one gets hurt.” Could’ve been the boy finding out about the abuse towards the girl. (Could be a fellow classmate or family member) Then I came to conclusion the “Play our little game, ” was about keeping quiet.
