The festival says good bye to the long Russian winter and has lots of customs and traditions. For example, burning a sculpture made of straw or wood. I can't say this video is bad, but i can't say they told you everything they could. For example, you're supposed to burn a hay doll called Maslenitsa, that's where the name came from. the burning of the doll does indeed defeat winter and welcome spring.
As a Russian i'd say this is about 99/100 credible.
That is purely because different regions of Russia have different variants of Maslenitsa. They all do follow the same traditions, it's just that in towns, where there is not a lot of space, burning a hay doll sounds like a better idea

i like the video, this holiday is one of the last heavily pagan holidays in europe.
the only thing that distracted me a little is the narrator lady sometimes had longer then usual pauses between words that reminds me of william shatner(captain kirk star trek).
oh and the zoom in like in 02:45 .
a shame it dosent have a lot of views.
