I could pull it off with an unbleached V-neck . But I’m general I agree. However I come from the time of the American Apparel Deep V. It was very popular when I was in middle school so it left an impression on my young mind 😂

I was told once that v-necks compliment a rounder face. I personally find crew neck shirts too tight around my neck.

I wear them! Just have to have a flattering enough V that fits your body type! It's all down to personal preference though! My wife thinks I look great hahaha

The whole purpose of the vneck is so that it *doesn't* show under a button up shirt. I think it will always be somewhat ugly since it's anti-functional, like wearing cleats when you are walking around in the city or wearing dress shoes while swimming. It makes no sense.


The only excuse I can think of is when you have a nice pendant necklace that you want to show off. But even then you should just wear a button up and make an extra button undone. Looks way better.

They visually split the chest apart, where you'd rather want that to look as wide as possible (usually)

I wear them most of the time. My build, as an ex-boxer and having no neck ..lol. Crew shirts are tight around my neck. If you have any recommendations for good crew shirts let me know.

I only wear V-Necks for scrubs because that's typical. V-Necks for anything else is terrible
