Miku sounds scratchy, this has to be a sign of covid. How irresponsible of her to sing on stage while showing symptoms

I feel like they made the preview with one version of Miku NT but then had to make the whole song with a newer version

Preview: Robotic
"Final version": Miku sounds like she's having a hard time hitting the high notes like if she needs a glass of water :/
Miku NT never liked me, but the Makku cover and some of yours made me appreciate her a bit more, but I don't know, I just hope Crypton keeps improving and doesn't give us this as her final version

I feel like this is better the original tuning didn’t really go well with the other characters

Crypton and just the whole vocaloid fandom in general make Miku out to be much more versatile than she really is. It takes a lot of skill to tune Miku to sound good but you see people using her as a beginner/ introduction to vocaloid. (which btw it's a bad idea to just get a vocaloid use an utauloid first to see if it's your thing so you don't waste money). Her voice is very airy and nasally, so she's suited for a much smaller set of genres of music then people use her for.

In the first preview/final comparison, I prefer the final one, despite the fact it sounds a bit muffled to my ears, and the preview one has a robotic/autotune-ish note that doesn't appeal my ears...

In the second comparison, I prefer the preview one, she sounds kinda cute in this one.

Just my opinion, it's not a fact.

0:03 here she destroy the beutifull note in a terible robotic one
0:09 i thinks this note is better
0:13 ok sound like v2 our v3, good tune, breath cute, a cute tune
0:19 no tune, flat piapro notes and more robotic than pitch mode on vocaloid
but..is piapro so...shit

While not exactly the same, Dappou Rock also has a pretty notable difference between Len's solo and the Len-W×S version. I'm not well versed with the different generations of voice banks, but it sounded like an entirely different bank to me.

I like the final more than the preview imo. In the preview, when she holds out the note for “melty land”, it sounds...idk... kinda weird and it doesn’t sound right to my ears, it’s almost like whoever tuned her made her sound like she was pushing too hard for the note(if that makes sense). While in the final version, the note sounds much more smoother and sounds right to my ears. It’s kinda like the final version perfected the frosting of the cake(the frosting being miku’s “melty land” notes), making her sound more appealing to me while the preview totally butchered the frosting and called it a day(sorry if the frosting thing doesn’t make sense)

i actually likes the final version because miku's voice sounds calm and imo it fits the song <3 but in 0:13 she sounds amazing too ✨

I think I might be able to answer this!
I've noticed in some of the rhythm games featuring Miku, developers will very occasionally rework Miku's vocals to sound a bit more staccato and percussive, which I think is to make it easier to follow the precise rhythm. Best example I can give of this is Hajimemashite Chikyuujin-San/Nice To Meet You Mr. Earthling in Project Mirai on the 3DS, despite the fact that the intro to Mirai DX uses the original album version, when you play the song in the rhythm game, it uses a different version with different vocals that sound...much worse, but also have much less nuance to them. I spent a long time wracking my brain as to why this change, but since the overall difficulty level of Project Mirai is fairly lower than Project Diva, which I believe is intentional, the best answer I can come up with is that they wanted to make it easier to follow the rhythm

istg pjsekai uses the worst tuning possible right next the seiyuu’s amazing singing it’s almost like they want to shoo people away from liking vocaloid

Jeez anything but the original preview tuning. Girl I was confused as hell why she sounded like that 😭

because they don't recycle the voice banks; they actually used a new engine for this game, literally Synth-ing her voice from scratch to make it "natural" and makes sense to the rest of the vocalists. No one wants a sore thumb vocalist.

I think they are just two different mixes. The vocals sound the same to me, but in the second she's kind of muffled and quiet due to the instrumental being louder

the "final" is more accurate to the original song sound

I'm pretty sure its purpose is for having the right beat for the vocals. The song has (idk what it's actually called but) a lot of uu-AA and AA-uu in singing so they lessen it down for the players to find the right timing.

To be honest, I don't get why it's such a big deal to make her so high pitched? Like, she sounds like she's genuinely struggling in the final version- 👁️👄👁️

Crypton, no-
