Yamandu o considera como o pai musical de sua geração. Rabello viveu durante as décadas de 70 e 80, época em que tocar música brasileira estava “fora de moda”. Justamente por isso que sua contribuição faz toda a diferença para a música nacional. Um grande brasileiro. Viva Raphael Rabello!

Fui em um festival de jazz em Mendoza, Argentina, acho que era 2017... o Yamandu Costa tocou antes das duas atrações principais. Depois de aplaudir de pé a apresentação dele, a casa lentamente foi se esvaziando durante o segundo show, e pra última atração já não tinha a metade do auditório presente, de tão adrenalizado que o publico ficou de ver o cabra tocando. Não havia forma de os outros grupos manterem o mesmo nível de estímulo artistico e foi quase todo mundo embora. Tambem sou musico e sei que certamente existem diferentes niveis de talento se apresentando aqui e ali, é normal. Mas foi a primeira e acho que unica vez que vi isso acontecendo assim em um teatro cheio 😅
