Kenneth, GPS Education Partners graduate and Manufacturing Engineer Technician, first learned about the program from his counselor at East Troy High School.

“I wasn’t doing so hot in high school, and my counselor thought GPS Education Partners would be a good fit because it’s a more hands-on experience. I like doing projects around the house and liked shop class in high school.”

“I see more possibilities for myself now, and it’s opened up more experiences for me down the road. School was rough for me, and I wasn’t thinking too clearly there. And now I’ve been at Generac for three years, and I plan on staying here longer in hopes of pursuing engineering.”

“If someone is thinking of trying out the GPS Education Partners program, I would say give it a chance. You can try out different stations here, and if you don’t like a spot, let your supervisor know – they’ll work with you to find something else that fits you better.”

“When I was still in GPS Education Partners, on the gas and diesel line and then in welding, I mentioned that I was interested in engineering, and they gave me the opportunity to try working with the engineers for a few weeks.”
