Cool vid. With interesting info. I personally don't watch the show as I am to busy most of the time but my sister and her husband, my brother-in-law enjoy Stranger Things very much. Stranger Things does not use the same "font" as the Stephen King novel cover you show, although it's clearly imitating its look. 

I designed the audiobook packaging for most of the Stephen King books back in the nineties (including Needful Things), which were all based on the existing book covers designed by the publisher, Viking Books. Very few of them utilized actual fonts, but used lettering instead, custom-drawn for each title. I had to carefully trace each one by hand in Adobe Illustrator to match the look. I also make fonts for a living now, so I know the difference.

The Stranger Things title is set in a font called ITC Benguiat if you're wondering. It was super popular in the seventies and eighties, which I'm sure is why they chose it.

The one thing that really bugged me about that show is in one scene where the family is having breakfast, they have a bottle of Mrs Butterworth's syrup, which always came in a glass bottle, but they put a plastic squeeze bottle sound effect in.
