Review of Torqeedo 503/1003/1103 Travel Bag Kit

Do not buy the Torqeedo 503/1003/1103 Travel Bag Kit it's not worth the money. It's just a generic bag worth maybe £50. No better than any old snowboard bag.

Thank you for the review. I just purchased the large bag you show plus the bag for the battery. I believe it is best to orient the prop end as it is portrayed in the video. However, I believe that the straps could be positioned more effectively. One can be positioned across the top of the skeg where it joins the hub, between the blades of the prop and diagonally across the hub. The other strap works effectively as portrayed around the body of the motor. Both straps should be a shortened a bit before they are put in place. When arranged as I describe, they can be snugged down quite tightly. I agree with Giles' description of the positioning of the tiller assembly. When the contents are arranged as I describe, they are centered in the bag and more fully protected. The bags are expensive but do serve the purpose for which I believe they were intended. The zippered outer pocket keeps the small components and motor manual easily located. Some basic instructions should heave been included by Torqueedo.

I ordered the bag for the 2024 version of the Torqeedo Travel XP engine. It would have fitted nicely if it were not for the fin and propeller. With these installed the zipper can't be closed completely although with the inner straps fitted around the top and the velcro around the shaft of the engine I am fairly satisfied. But in the end it is a bit too small!

Finally if you place the tiler so the screen is facing towards the side of the bag it seems much more secure, you can obviously flap it around vigorously but most things are like that in life if you try hard enough.

You ever watched dragons den where they try and break stuff and then it goes on to be a multi-million pound business success ?

Also straps go around the shaft above and below motor, not across. 👍

I believe you have the motor the wrong way round in the bag, propeller facing the other way is a lot Just bought one, seems to fit together nicely. Obviously it's just a soft bag, but looking good this end.

Also pre adjust straps before you click them in, you can get them very tight.

You could also get a plastic type peli case if you wanted something that you could jump up and down on .

Might be worth amending your video so not to confuse others ? 🤔
