Great tip! On my first day that I planned to wear them I removed the laces and re-laced the shoe starting from the next holes up where you mentioned. They feel like different shoes now with nothing squeezing the sides up front. Thank you so much for posting this!! Time to go play Disc Golf !

At 01mm08ss I see that the soles are worn at the ouside. You state that the adidas terrex miss arch support. Furthermore you state that your small toe worn a hole into the inner lining. My proposal look for a specialist for a new technology for foot orthotics. I had also worn the soles of my running shoes on the outer side. Then I got new and the right foot orthotics, was wearing them for several months and now everything is better even okay again. I was wearing foot orthotics with too much arch support before. That was the main problem. You may have also the problem that you have splayfoot. adidas are the wrong shoe for splayfoot. Better wear New Balance or Brooks. At Lite Hiking Shoes a good shoe with wider forefoot is "Meindl" (Quality shoes like Hanwag or Lowa). Finally there is no lighter outdoor-shoe like the adidas Terrex Low-Models from Fast X over Fast R to Swift R, etc.. No lighter and no better...Don't cut them anywhere.

Mine sprang a leak in about 12 months, really disappointing, bugger all support from Adidas.
