Also McQueen beat a f1 car which is faster than 200

Cars 3 didnt make any sense tbh. In cars 2 it is stated that lightning mcqueens top speed is 220 mph.

I think that is completely accurate because he went up against Francesco Bernoulli in Cars. 2. And because he was no longer on a piston cup circuit, he didn't need those restrictor plates And if you look on the wiki Francesco's top speed is 220 now we see in the second race in Italy on Cars 2. That lightning actually managed to beat him even though it wasn't by much. It still counts as a win. It is also confirmed by Pixar that Francesco Bernoulli is the fastest car in The movie. Therefore he could beat Jackson storm And if Francesco Bernoulli can beat Jackson storm and lightning McQueen beat Francesco Bernoulli that also means lightning McQueen can beat Jackson storm there you go

The old school nascars were faster than modern nascars so yeah he could win

Yes because in the first movie he somehow went 250 mph when trying to escape radiator springs

Edit:I think he had -10 restricter plates💀

The message behind Cars 3 was to accept adolescence. McQueen was getting old but in the sense that he's wearing down and technology around him is advancing.

He could reach 220mph in Cars 2 but that was mainly due to him being in his prime. Don't get me wrong, I respect and understand why the writers went with McQueen allowing Cruz to continue the final race while he works as her crew chief but a part of me still wishes that we'd gotten to see McQueen beat Storm -- proving that speed isn't everything, hence Smokey's words, "You'll never be faster than Storm but you can be smarter then him."

McQueen only went so fast in cars 2 because they removed the restrictive plates to get him set up for street racing but in the official racing they put them back on and restricter plates prevent him from going above 200

He removed the plates in the Cars 2, but with the years the cars lose some Performance, especially the race cars, if they are not getting replacements, the line of the story is actually realistic and logic

Pretty sure the King could've too

Pixar reveals the truth behind McQueen, "In cars 3 what made the film.

McQueen tried to push his engine, to beat Jackson Storm.

But the scene reveals, it tells it reached over than hundred miles and McQueen tried but his tire pops".

Those restrictor plates are two fold yes they limit the horsepower but if they didn't do that the engine would be like a fragmentation grenade it would rev till it literally throws a piston

Canonically, McQueen is older at this point so he can't push it like he used to. As far as we're concerned, McQueen was probably one of the fastest cars in the lore, being beaten by supercars and rocket cars

Lighting definitely could’ve beaten Jackson. Lighting hit 200MPH on loose and wet sand with racing slicks on. So if you apply the laws of physics on asphalt lighting is hitting over 220MPH. And he’s a veteran racer so he’s races every major track which means he’s been taking the same corners for yrs and already knows how each track leans and feels. Therefore lighting applying simple physics and prior knowledge of the tracks, Jackson should’ve been no problem for lighting to beat.

This actually makes me think Of Shadow’s Inhibitor Rings cuz when he has his Inhibitor Rings on they limit his powers but when he takes them off he can use his full strength and full powers and when Lightning McQueen has his Restrictor Plates on his speed is limited but when he has his Restrictor Plates off he can go SUPER FAST

mate, jackson storm was CONFIRMED as being the Nissan Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo

I believe you
The late Gen 4 stock cars had about 750 hp while the Gen 5 stock car wasn't aerodynamic and the Gen 6 stock car had reduced horsepower to being 550 hp after 2014 when Jeff Gordon (known in this series as Jeff Gorvette) reached a 207-mph qualifying lap at Michigan Speedway and NASCAR didn't want to have history repeat

(In 1987, the race corresponding to Bill Elliott's record holding 212.89 mph qualifying lap, Bobby Allison blew a tire and almost flew into the grandstands full of people. Luckily, his front fender clipped the outside wall which made his car spin against the catchfence, ripping out a whole section, and spinning back onto the track, only injuring a few spectators from debris. Since the near tragedy, NASCAR has been aware about the safety of their fans and the speed of the cars, adding restrictor plates in the very next superspeedway race, the following Daytona 500)

Edit: I said that the qualifying speed for 2014 Michigan qualifying was 214 mph, but that was the fastest speed, not the speed while crossing the start/finish line (btw the cars in 1987 could run up to over 220 mph at the superspeedways before restrictor plates. In 1987!)

That's actually a fair point and I fully support it!

Yeah but even if they did remove McQueen's restrictor plates in Cars 3, it would've violated the Piston Cup rules.

That's why you don't see Lightning McQueen in his Cars 2 upgrade on the piston cup races because he was racing the neon, ice, carnival and carbon fibre races of TROC races.

Yes cars 2 lightning McQueen went 220 to 230 and if they take the planes then he go 250 maybe 260. And how I know how fast a nascar go because I work on them.

Or just give him some Presto Fuel, much like the Presto Log, it would have been designed to burn harder and longer, and in this case kicking up the fuel pressure making the engine rev higher and making the car go faster.
