I love it how unironically one of the most epic musical cues in soundtrack history isn't for a massive epic fantasy or thriller but it instead accompanies a scene where Mr Bean uses household products to fix a painting while a guy is trying to break into a toilet...

This is a fantastically put together scene. The direction, the pacing, the editing, the score, the acting, the writing, the cinematography, the humour. It's one of those rare instances in film where everything works perfectly. Not a single element needs changing.

the music in this scene really is something. although its still very comical, the music also makes this scene so beautiful and emotional. the feeling of triumph of Bean atoning for his mistakes. as a kid, I found this scene both funny, but also kind of teared up a bit because of the music. the music would work in a serious film too. its kind of a shame they didn't at any point use the original music from the TV show. like maybe if they waited until the end and then maybe during the sentimental scene where bean says goodbye to david and the vale homo qui est faba flared up in a more movie arranged, epic form. i would've loved that

My life was so simple and I had so much potential when I first watched this. I had a chance to go somewhere.
The music makes me cry.
Now I am depressed and sad and broken. How badly I wish I could go back to 1997 when life was so good, but I took it for granted.
