Great explanation! Now I look forward to explanations of ge-, be- and er-. I have some connotations, but especially ge- is difficult. It is of course both verbs and nouns: brauchen/gebrauchen, hören/gehören, denken/gedenken, Berg/Gebirge, Holz/Gehölz. Thanks a lot from Sweden.

1:46 Moment! Entfernen bedeutet ja sowas wie von etwas weg gehen, aber „ent-“ bedeutet ja, dass man mit etwas aufhört. Bei entfernen stoppt man dann quasi die „Ferne“, also müsste man nicht dann näher rann kommen?

Ich muss auf Englisch - this was a really great video. Ent is a prefix that I really didnt understand until I watched your video. You do a great job of explaining what it is, and why its that way. And, if someone knows a bit of German, it really makes sense why its the opposite of whatever Ent is attached to. Gut gemacht!
