We didn't lose, they lost us.
There is a reason why Blues Foundation's slogan is "Keeping the blues Alive".
The Blues has been dying, barely hanging in there, and on life support. Many young aspiring artists come to this genre with fresh ideas, innovation, and like anyone with objective perspective says "if blues is on life support then let's do surgery". Meaning - let's do something new and help the blues. But the Blues Foundation says No.
Ironically every artist that is fetishized by the Blues Foundation has done something so radical in their time, something new, and innovative, that their contemporaries regarded it as sacrilege. After the International Blues Challenge is over the Beale street will transorm back to it's usual state. A place where young people come to party and move to the sounds of the most current music. Dovydas Band will continue performing their genre of music, not constrained by a Blues competition judge rating that spans from 1 to 10, but goes off the charts. Goodbye Blues Foundation.

I love how you incorporate your drums. And how you read through people's comments and thank them. It's a lot to read through. That's a good thing. I read through most all the comments too. That means a lot to us fans, I believe. And then there is, *DØVYDÅS* You put a great band together. Every one of you all is an excellent musician! And you DØVYDÅS bring so much to the music industry. I truly love the Blues and Rock. You've got so much talent. And for those who voted for these bands, they missed the mark, again? *Never Give Up, Never Surrender* *😏* If I had been one of the voters, I would have done my research. And through that research I would have found such a magnificent musician waiting to be discovered, and with that, I would have found three more, magnificent musicians. I would have shared this with the others in charge too. Man, they missed it. And they will continue to miss these diamonds in the rough. The good thing is, you see the good in this, and how it actually turns out. Because of others before you all, that were turned down for whatever reasons.

Hope there's even more new-age Dovydas Blues on it! p.s. your audio onstage in Memphis wasnt set up right - the OBBS/CFBC set @ TheAlley came out sounding much better balanced for audio- just saying this Memphis performance wasn't your best showing so don't take the result to heart either. We know there is a lot more to Dovydas, a lot more to come and we're staying tuned!
