I love the speaker's emphasis on consent and respecting boundaries. It's important to approach conversations with our loved ones, especially those dealing with addiction, in a way that doesn't make them feel judged or cornered.

In my opinion it's important to make the distinction that addiction is a disease and should be treated as such.

I resonate with the speaker's journey of learning how to listen and understand. It's a skill we often overlook, but it can make a world of difference. Her acronym 'PEACE' is a simple yet effective way to connect with our loved ones, regardless of whether they're dealing with addiction or not

Michelles dedication to creating support groups and sharing her knowledge with everyone is really admirable. She's using her personal experience and newfound understanding to help others in similar situations rather than deny that she has anything but a perfect life like some people like to pretend.. We need more people like her who are willing to take action from a place of compassion and experience

I admire Michelles resilience and determination. It's so not easy to take care of a loved one struggling with addiction and but her willingness to learn, listen, support - and now pass all that knowledge on - it's just really something special

I appreciate Michelles vulnerability sharing her journey like this. It's not easy to admit our own mistakes and recognize our role in the problem. The fact that she was able to embrace active listening and empathy in order to rebuild her relationship with her son in a pretty powerful and encouraging story.
