Europe Is Launching A Space Debris Removal Robot

In low Earth orbit, more than 3,000 defunct satellites and tens of millions of smaller pieces of debris clatter around the atmosphere. The European Space Agency is launching a four-armed debris-removal robot on a mission to clean up the space around Earth.

Ok so, the debris cleaner will just go into orbit, grab a defunct satellite, then just destroy itself and the satellite? So it won't go back and clean a bit more? Just grab one and terminate?

I think my country India should participate or contribute something for this good mission ... But the problem is who will make our a*hole politicians understand.
