From personal experience traveling to china over 20 times the thing that helped me the most was to eat to the correct times even if I was not hungry. All the other stuff is important too but I was never 100% until after 6-7 days. This was a 12 hour time change. Eating schedule maybe easier with shorter time changes. Going there was always easier then coming back and it being 12h didn’t make since other then maybe my body was tired from having just adjusted. I’d usually spend 2-3 weeks there. I could fly east or west to get to Beijing. This is just my personal experience so it may not apply to everyone.
