I lost my grandpa in 1989. Seven years later my grandma, his wife past away 😪 another seven years later, my uncle, the oldest son of them also past away. This song is for me a dedication to all three beloved people. Bless you ❤

I swear this song defines Michael and Jane's relationship. #janethevirgin
They started kissing, the song started playing, and I started crying.

One night at the beginning of this year, my four-year-old daughter and I were sitting in the living room, when she asked me, “Daddy do men cry?” I said, “Yes, they do.” Then she said, “But I have never seen you cry.”

This same year, I lost her because of a drunk Driver. A reckless man entered our neighborhood by mistake, where my daughter was playing, and this man later admitted that he took a wrong turn, and that’s all it took. One wrong turn ended my only daughter’s life. This is the same daughter, whom I did not acknowledge for the first three years of her life. I denied her. I had to go to a paternity court to confirm that she is really my biological daughter. I can't stop thinking about how I’ve missed out on so many amazing and fun things. I wasn't there when she said her first words or when she took her first steps. I didn't have much time to spend with her. Only one year was all the time I had with her. I don’t deny that this is all my fault, I bet her mother regrets taking me to court to prove that she is indeed my daughter. If she had not done this, our daughter would’ve never been in that neighborhood to begin with, and would still be alive to this day.

I wish she could see me now so that she could be sure that I was really telling the truth when I said that yes, men do cry.

I hummed this to myself as I sat by my mom and watched her leave my world December 5 2020.
She and my brother hadn't spoke in 20.5 years, she spoke out looking up to heaven and said "not yet not yet"
She waited for him, my nephew had went and called him saying your mother's dying. He came they said I love you to one another and those were the last words they spoke. God was in our room and in our hearts. She was waiting for her last child before she could let go.

Lyrics🎧

We let the waters rise
We drifted to survive
I needed you to stay
But I let you drift away
My love where are you? My love where are you?

Whenever you're ready (Whenever you're ready)
Whenever you're ready (Whenever you're ready)
Can we, can we surrender
Can we, can we surrender
I surrender

No one will win this time
I just want you back
I'm running to your side
Flying my white flag, my white flag
My love where are you? My love where are you?

Whenever you're ready (Whenever you're ready)
Whenever you're ready (Whenever you're ready)
Can we, can we, surrender
Can we, can we, surrender
I surrender
Oh, I surrender

Missing my baby bro while listening to this. He died in my arms in 1988 aged 19. I was ready to join him that night and started walking into the sea after i failed to resuscitate him. I knew my Mum couldn't lose two sons in one night so i turned back to shore. This song reminded me that eventually i will reunite with with him and i will never have to ask, Where are you? again. Whenever you're ready my baby bro, come get me.
