This is the primary thing that happened to most native women. “I’m going to stay with the euros so they don’t kill my family.” Then they do and create a whole system saying they save the women from savage men. Yea happens today but more through classism.

Thank you for making this video I hope more people realize this. Disney played on our childhood nostalgia, taking a horrific story and making it different. One thing about Native ancestors, just like African ancestors, they kept the truth alive through music and stories.
Despite this books are written to discredit them.

We're Native American Shoshone-Paiute tribes, much respect n thx to u for bringing out the truth❤
Certain ppl still portray us as being "drunken Indians, " saying how we're all rich from owning casinos, just living off of the gov't.
We're all still here. Alcohol was used against many of our ppl in order to massacre n overtake the lands. Presently, there are many of us who dnt drink alcohol n many who're recovering from generations of that evilness, healing n ending abusive cycles. We're raising our children n grandchildren living on the path of our traditional spirituality, our culture n speaking our Native languages, which was also prohibited n outlawed n finally restored in the 70's.
Those treaties with the different tribes was a part of the results of our ancestor's lands being forcibly taken, many of our Ppl were massacred n survivors forced n imprisoned onto reservations. The fundings that's given to the different tribes is also a part of the treaties, including a lil lump sum of $ that many of our ppl had waited for but never lived to receive it. As individuals, we dnt just receive free $, like everybody else, we attend school then trade schools or colleges. Being qualified to work different jobs 8 hrs a day, 7 days a week. Some Native Ppl work(ed) n lived off the reservation, I n my two oldest kids did for 6 yrs. Living on our reservation is like living in a different world, altho certain things are similar to living off the Rez. There are even a few non Native Ppl who live on different reservations, those who're married into Native families or they're employed on the Rez.
Not all tribes own Casinos.
Sometimes when I comment on certain channels n mention that I'm Native American, I get rude n mean comments from various ppl. That's ok tho, I'm proud of being blessed who I am.

When I did a project on her as a kid, it made me so mad she was not buried on American soil.

So sad, she must be turning in her grave at The Disney story 🙄😢 I live in Kent England, where her tomb stone lays, in a church yard at a town called Gravesend. The history says she died of syphilis . If she was poisoned one would have to think of a motive why the Europeans wanted her dead.
