I LOVE to answer viewer questions, and LOVE to able to SHOW them the answer.

This is a very basic overview of what a nested sequence is in Premiere Pro and how you can use them.

This step-by-step tutorial shows how to make a nest, where it ends up in the timeline and project window, how to keyframe positions (or anything really), add color correction.

You'll also learn how to click-drag-duplicate any footage or element in the timeline.

With a little imagination, you can do some wonderful things you may not have thought possible.

I know this in an old post - but I watched several nest videos and this one made it make sense....coming from photoshop long time user, this seems equivalent to a stamped layer in photoshop, which totally makes sense now. Thank you,

I happen to own one of those X-Vive wireless units! How cool was this to find a useful tutorial by a guy who made a video for a piece of gear I actually use! Very cool! Nesting is essentially the same as a composition in After Effects.

Oh wow, this is really useful. It's like symbols in adobe animate, that's where I see the connection. I've never used after effects.

I have a timeline with an intro animation > a nested sequence > and outro animation. Is there a way to drag new footage into the nested sequence (with a shorter or longer duration than previous footage) and the nested sequence will automatically extend or shorten while keeping the outro animation snapped to the end of it?
