Chronic Disease Epidemiology: In Conversation with the Yale School of Public Health Department Chair

"Chronic conditions, such as heart disease, stroke, cancer, diabetes, they’re common, they’re costly, and they’re highly preventable," says Judith Lichtman, former Chair of the Chronic Disease Epidemiology Department at the Yale School of Public Health. "And are also becoming much more prominent globally."

The mission of the Chronic Disease Epidemiology Department (CDE) is to advance the health of the public by promoting a research-based approach to the prevention and management of chronic disease, and to educate future leaders of the field.
