Immortality is a curse that probably seems like such a gift at the start but when everyone around you dies while you stay the same you start wishing death.

The irony is that I actually wrote a book in 7th grade called “The Loneliness of Immortality” and it was a story of a girl who was cursed to be immortal for the rest of her life. 😭
It didn’t have a great ending.

immortality seems like a gift at first because you can say “Oh my god i’ll live forever!” But then you realize that you’ll live forever and that you’ll have to suffer the lost of your loved ones all alone.

Immortality would be the worst. Watching everyone you loved or had die in front of you, and someday there might even be some virus that comes around and you have to fight for survival. Having immortality would be the last thing i'd ever want, always outliving your loved ones, or something traumatizing might happen sooner or later too, and you can't get rid of it.

Im really glad that people are starting to realise that the power of immortality is not "cool" but actually depressing, watching everyone you know and love die and then just being the only one left alive (if there is no one else with immortality) is not cool, its just lonely, sad and depressing.

i really feel the emotion shown in this, not only is her acting phenomenal, you can see how even though she doesnt age because of her curse, her mind matures and it is expressed somehow through Cae’s character

When I was a small kid, I felt like this. You will feel like you live forever as more others pass away, worsening the pain. I had a great-grandma pass away and it was a lot. Don't worry though, there is always that one person who is there forever.

In a way this reminds me of the movie called The Age of Adeiline another really good movie is Winter's Tale. I love how you show some of the sad sides of being immortal.

The way the style changes over time really lets it sink in how long that character has been alive for.
