I built this great table for my BBQ area. Added heavy duty locking casters, a power strip hidden under the top and two outdoor goose-neck lights. Can be used as a bar and a BBQ prep/serving table. Everyone who sees it wants one! Thanks for a great idea!

Brilliant. I would put castor wheels on one side and a handle/towel rail on the other

I was thinking about something similar for the bathroom by leaving an opening for an undermount sink and exposed pipes.

Hi there - do you know about how heavy the top comes out to be? I'm looking to make this as a wedding gift. Any more documentation on where you're putting the screws in for the base? I looked at the plans on the site and didn't see anything. Thanks!

I think your projects are awesome. I want to modify this build to make some shorter end tables for my small backyard. Do you have any suggestions or advice if I choose to do so? I'm hoping the gap between the table top and bottom tray will still be tall enough to fit stuff in there. Thanks!

its gorgeous, I love it, but what keeps this from going left or right outside the screws? there should be some kind of metal bracket to keep the whole thing from tilting one way and crushing a small child

How did you attach the top to the base?  Is it held in place by just its weight or is there some type of mechanical fastener?

Wouldnt the concrete chip off, or slowly leave this dust it usually leaves? Unless you coat it with something...

Hey Ben. I sad thinking of making a concrete TV bench similar to your concept, but mine would be 3m long. Sorry don't know how much that is in feet. I calculated it at 75kgs. Would the base still support it?

I couldn't find the link on your websitewith the measured plans

I was just thinking about this table and you could use plywood instead of particle and melamine to get a wood grain transfer onto the concrete. Might look cool.

How thick of the concrete board which i need to add a frame for it??

why not embed some heavy duty stainless steel bolts in the concrete to bolt it to the table? and why no diagonal crossbraces? with that weight, it may wobble...

what sealer did you use for the concrete? thanks for the share!

Nice build. I know you did some research on the concrete before building it and therefore was wondering how slim (thickness) the slab could be built with rebar and still be solid without cracking or chipping off. Also how did you plan on smoothing the corners and the top? Thanks for sharing.
