How To Get EPIC Stripes With A Regular Mower!

Показать описание
If your mower doesn't have a rear roller, then fear not. Here is a simple add-on (for many mowers, but mainly larger mowers over 47cm) that can put those stripes in your lawn whenever you fancy it.

This is the Lawn Stryper Generation 3.

Suitable for larger lawns, and requires a section at either end of the lawn to turn the mower around (you cannot pick up the back end of the mower with this attachment). You can either mow around the edges 2 or 3 strips and use that space to turn, or use where there is natural turning space at either end of the lawn.

The Lawn Stryper Generation 3 works with the following 20”-22” residential walk-behind mowers Toro, Honda, Ego 21″, Ryobi, Ariens, Black+Decker, Bolens, Brute, Craftsman, Cub Cadet, Dewalt, Echo, Green Machine, Greenworks, Hart, Husqvarna, John Deere, Kobalt, Kress, Lawn Boy, Makita, Masport, MasterForce, Milwaukee Tool, Murray, Poulan Pro, PowerSmart, Pulsar, Remington, Scag, Snapper, Stihl, Troy-Bilt, Yard Force, Yard Machine, Yardworks, Yardmax and more.

DOES NOT WORK WITH EGO’s 22” Aluminum Deck, Skil, Stihl-RM 655 & 756, and Worx.

Latest video comments are off so just want to say no need to apologies. You content gives people ideas and options that might not be aware of. This might not be for everybody but some people will love this idea or just spark some thinking themselves. Keep the videos coming Shaun 👍

Dont understand some of these comments having a go at Shaun, he is doing what he always does and showing us what we can buy and use, not telling us that we have to buy it!!
Common sense required me thinks!!

Probably easier than me sweeping my stripes.

Nice vid as always. What I’m waiting for though is a mower that has a grass ‘lifter’ on the front. So when I’m pushing my mower, it’s lifting the long weedy grasses that get woven into the lawn - so my mower can do a better job.

You can make your own DIY version with a bit of plastic pipe, some end caps and some clips/carabiners. Probably £15 in materials max?

Fill it with stones or sand, seal the ends with superglue, clip in on the back of the mower and off you go!

I brought a good second hand petrol hayter harrier with heavy rear roller that gives me perfect stripes for £170 so got to be better than faffing with that contraption

I am not one that’s fussed with stripes etc. but many years ago I used to use an old flymo and just push up and down whilst it was turned off.

What other accessories could we attach to our mowers? A tray for sandwiches and a drink perhaps. I remember these striping trailers from years ago, but I’ve never tried one.

Can’t beat an in built roller as it will carry the heavy weight of the mower- producing much better stripes!

Put a brick inside the rear grass collector. That’s what I do with my £100 electric mower. As long as the design makes sure the brick can’t jump out into the blade, it weighs down the back of the mower where the plastic roller is and enhances the stripe. Been doing it for years

The lawn could do with a feed! Buy a second hand Honda with a roller, I have two which are amazing, just service or get serviced regularly and they will last a homeowner forever!

I don't have a clutch on my mower. It would make it even heavier.

You know you can get the same effect by just attaching a small rubber flap at the back of the mow deck. John Deere put such a flap on their non ride-on mowers.
On our ride -ons we use a heavy duty rubber mat (machine width) towed behind the machine.
Same effect - very inexpensive.
You know in principle you could attach a small rubber flap behind a Flymo - that's a turn-up for the books - a striped lawn with a flymo...

Or just get a mower that has a rear roller? 👌
