My wife's grandmother's room in the Monette nursing home is over the reports right shoulder at the end of this video. It took a direct hit on December 10th of 2021 which was the same tornado that traveled all the way to Mayfield Kentucky. They were able to rebuild the nursing home and it is full of residents now. She turns 100 years old in two days and is as spry as a 20 year old with all of her mind and we see her every couple of days. The pile of rubble behind him is what is left of apartments that were only 75 feet outside of her room. That was WAY too close. The nursing home was grazed by the tornado but not directly hit. The grainbins and equipment was all destroyed and rebuilt 4 years ago so this is the second direct hit for them. We were all watching and praying the tornado would miss the nursing home as we watched it live on TV.

As bad as this particular damage is, if they would have taken an actual direct hit from that tornado, it would have been leveled imo. That storm was a monster rivaling Tuscaloosa. Glad no one there was killed.

Look at all the thin sheet metal, particle board, and inferior building materials being ripped apart by storm winds and tornados.

Hats off to “Dean”, the camera man. He was dragged through gas puddles, bent metal and destroyed semis and didn’t flinch, trip or mess up once. Great job Dean! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

2025 seems to be a very active year for tornadoes, and the worst is yet to come. May is typically when you see the most tornadoes. As a Canadian, I hope people adhere to the warnings and take cover when bad weather comes. I hope those communities recover and people help one another.

The reporter said that he was not going to show us the dead sheep, but one could clearly see it lying on its side with its feet facing us. It had probably been thrown hundreds of feet and the impact with the ground and being hit by debris may have been what killed it, but who knows?!

I’ve tried telling Reed Timmer that Lake City gets a lot of tornados. He’s been down here in the Dominator trying to catch tornados. Excellent job Brandon!…. We have another chance for Severe storms again tomorrow.
