This is the way that these confirmations hearings should be conducted. Most of the democrats, except for Hirono from Hawaii, were polite and courteous, not confrontational! Doug Burgum is brilliant! His idea of "asset evaluation" is a common sense approach from a business perspective from which leaders should follow in determining the benefits/costs of governmental policies... or stupid last minute executive orders like stopping off-shore drilling to provide needed energy!

Who ever started the fire in the Big Horn Mountains in Northeast Would Game and Fish give me my tags for next year free as to asking me to pay for them again. Reality is the Forest Service did not manage the grounds. Bring back our logging and keep us safe. What a fail across the country this all is. All the Democrats, despite praising Burgum are all trying to accomplish the same thing; for Burgum to be independent from the dictates of and commitments from the president, even if they have to oppose him on specific policy.

Don't these people realize that, as Trump appointees that these people report directly to the President and have been appointed to follow up on and implement the policies that the Chief Executive wants in place. Sure, they have some latitude provided by their knowledge and abilities, but, THEY SERVE AT THE BEHEST OF THE PRESIDENT.
