I pulled a permit for my home to add a heat pump. Not sure if it’s specified but I was told by inspectors that only the 10kW air handler counts as “electric heat”. The heat pump, which is electric, and heats the house, is just like a… projector.

For example with smart meters we can see practical usage figures for individual homes, with seasonal fluctuations that reflect actual usage. Are those data of use when considering whether the service to the home has additional capacity for renovation?

other loads computation, what if you have 3 appliance rated below 1500 watts. example, 1200 watts, 1400 watts and 1450 watts. how do you compute this for other loads?
