Leica Q2 Monochrom First Impressions

This camera is insanely good. The Leica Q range are just my all time favourite camera. That grip on the camera just merged into the body design. As an ex-pro gone back to being a photographer that shoots for myself, I woke up the other morning and thought I could sell all my gear and go minimalist and have just the Leica Q2. Once I get a thought in my head about a camera I usually pull the trigger. It’s just the cost that’s held me back. I still shoot Nikon FM and FE2 as well. Won’t be getting rid of those bad boys. BTW that is some awesome property you have there. It’s huge. You’ll need a ride on mower for that much grass or some sheep. Great video and fantastic images as always.

This idea of a monochrome camera only is pretty cool, removing the colour filter makes for sharper images, I like these kinda of specialised cameras cause nowadays everything's gotta be hybrid and no everyone needs that.

I rented the camera for a few days and must admit that the files are gorgeous!High iso noise is just incredible! You loose some flexibility in post but mostly the files need almost no treatment!A stunner for sure if you like b/w!!

Love the idea of having a monochrome camera..but I feel the M10 monochrome would be much better to have paired with the Q2 or Q-P....I'd love to trade my M10-P for one...

It's indeed a desirable camera. Your photos look great! But, I'd love to see you do some side-by-side shots in bnw with your SL2 or the M10R.
