I found out when I was 7 that my father was my real biological father. My Mushum (grandfather) told me out of spite. There was alcohol involved. Since my parents and grandfather would drink socially on the weekends at home. I grew up in the 80s. Times were different at that time. My Mushum's hatred would come out when there was alcohol involved between them. One night, I was sitting amongst. My father and Mushum were arguing about something I don't know what about. That's when my Mushum told me the truth. I can remember the look on my father's face it crushed him and both physically and emotionally. I was in shock. I didn't know what to do. Then I was in tears and I didn't know what to do for the next few days. But eventually my mom told me the truth. My biological father left my mother and me when I was 2. And then my mother meet my step dad came in our lives and stayed. He took me as own when he saw me. And has been my real father since that day. I love him with all my heart. It's because of him I'm the man I am today. My father worked hard to provide food, clothes and shelter over our heads. My father is good man and I remember seeing him saved my Mushum life one time. We were all eating KFC one late Saturday night. And once again there was alcohol involved that evening. All of sudden my Mushum started to choke on a small piece of chicken bone. My father was sitting in the livingroom and jump up and ran to where my Mushum as he choking. My father was performing the heimak. Luckily my father was able to save my Mushum's life. He finally got the small chicken bone out. I don't remember if my Mushum thank him. But I know despite my Mushum hating my dad. My father went out and beyond and saved a old man's life despite that old man hating him. I knew who was the better man that night. My father.
