Eregi Girls’ High School closed

1,086 students out of 1,662 from St. Theresa Eregi girls high school in Kakamega county were released to go home due to the mysterious illness that paralyzed their legs. The decision to release form 1 to form 3 students arrived after students protested yesternight, destroying school property and injuring police officers who went to contain the situation. As of now, Health Cabinet Secretary Susan Nakhumicha says 95 students are receiving treatment in various hospitals.
