He discovered his true self. He no longer needs to imitate his idols. This is a significant moment of self-realization.

Tony is an amazing man and definitely deserves to be in the pantheon of the greats. He may have idolized Bruce and Jackie, but he should be proud that he can stand side by side with metaphorically.

Tony Jaa is the most extraordinary martial artists I've ever seen. The way he moved was almost supernatural.

True. Ong Bak was a turning point in martial arts films, everyone wanted to step their game up after that.
Seeing him first perform those stunts and the grittiness and brutality of it is similar to seeing the CGI in LOTR for the first time, it was spectacular.

One of the most amazing martial arts superstars I’ve ever seen in my life. Definitely up there with Jet, Bruce, Jackie and Donnie for me.

You cannot control someone's life like that especially when the person is someone like Tony Jaa, whose stardom was inevitable, he had to go beyond Thailand, such talents are born once in a while

Ong bak 1 got me into muay thai. It came out in 2003, i didny see it till 2005 or 2006 when i was 20. Im now 39 and have been training ever since consistently between muay thai/kickboxing and boxing and bjj. Tony was one of the best of the best in martial arts movies and stunts and only had a fraction of the movies the the other greats like jackie chan, jet li, sammo hung, etc. Thats how you know how skilled he was.
There is no "downfall" either. Hes living just great in thailand with his family.
