I used to work at the western store called Arizona Outfitters when I was 17 in 1998 at fiesta mall....so many good memories! Wish it was still open.

My parents were born in AZ. I was born in AZ. This mall was a big part of my childhood. The Superstition Mall up the road will be the next one to close, I am sure.

I went to Fiesta Mall the last day the doors were open. There was a hair salon and a pretzel stand that were open on the last day. It was crazy to walk through an almost empty mall when I remembered how great it used to be.

AZ doesn't need any more housing. This state is being destroyed by Californians and Midwesterners who move here without understanding anything about AZ.

More office space!!!…there’s literally a bunch of unused office buildings around that area ready to be leased out

This was the place to be when I was in high school. So many good memories playing in the kb toy store and getting a giant m&m cookie in the food court

This used to be my hangout after school from ‘85 - 87! I loved walking around and shopping there. I used to go to Spencer’s and Walden books and of course, the food court. Got my ears pierced there for the first time. It makes me sad to see it every time I drive by it.

Last time I went over there was in 2015. It sucks that this place is gonna get demolished for houses and more office space. There's already enough office space south of the mall! Why do we need more? But anyways, that mall was fun to go to and I'll never forget it.

I worked at the first major store that opened up. Sears! So many memories of walking past the sheets of plastic they put up to shield the construction of the rest of the stores, and roaming the stores. Great fun!! Everytime I drive past the mall I think of Sears & the Catalog dept.

The whole neighborhood was going out of business when the economy was messed up and everyone lost their houses. A place a block away went out of business within a month of opening.

Theres another in Matteson, IL. The former "Lincoln Mall" was the best place to shop back in the 70s & 80s. But thugs shoplifting and people being robbed instilled fear in former patrons. Finally it ended up like this one.
Another headed this way is Northfield Square Mall 30 miles south of there. Sears, Penny's, and Marshall Fields gone. Just the movie venue and a few small shops still there.

Great. More houses and fast food. Just what AZ needs. I miss when this state was a hidden gem. Everyone thought it was just a hot desert. Drive an hour north and you have pine trees and snow. I love AZ and I hate how expensive and crowded it has been getting.

Someone should create a state of the art HOMELESS SHELTER OR HOUSING.(separate spaces with some kind of cubicles)....👍

That Mall was poppin back in the Early to mid 90s. That's my old stomping grounds, went to Rhodes Jr. High and Dobson.

In the 70's I lived near Thomas Mall and Tower Plaza. Going to MetroCenter (or even ChrisTown) was a BIG deal back then. I got my license in '78, and Fiesta Mall and Paradise Valley Mall opened up right afterward. I remember how awesome it was to pile my friends in the car head out to the arcades at these new malls. Glory days!

Imagine how many houses and apartments you could build there.

This mall had 4 movie theaters around it. 2 on longmore and 2 on southern. I might have missed one too. Fiesta mall had those Big Department stores across the street too, Service Merchandise & Montgomery Ward.
