Well said. Keep forging forward. I was told many of the things you experienced and bought into it. Labeled may things and even though I tried my best was told "Stop trying so hard. Don't be a perfectionist. Always told to lower my expectations." Never give up.

I’m an immigrant from Mexico and the most common stereotype I had to face when I was a freshman in high school was when people asked me if I was getting deported! I felt othered.

1970 I was sent home for speaking Spanish. I was assigned students from South America. Not everyone spoke Spanish, I learned Japanese and Portuguese. Thank you California

If I get called a 'traitor' for shattering centuries-old stereotypes, I will consider myself a proud traitor.

What area does Sadie consider she has been stereotyped by the most?

You can take every negative thing she just said and turn it into a positive thing-Pregnant at 17? Many women "hit the wall" at 43, bitter they never had a child. When you are 43 and see you child grow up you will not experience "the bitterness"... etc...

My wife is a darker skinned indigenous Peruvian and went to college and is now a corporate executive, and no one has ever said anything about her race in all of her 30 plus years of life (except for me regularly telling her she looks like an Incan warrior princess…lol), so idk what ppl are even rly talking about…

I do not get the big deal about stereotypes. People should embrace them.
