My adult sister-in-law was excited to get a job at the train station, because one of the perks of the job was discounted travel anywhere those train lines went.

She excitedly declared she couldn’t wait to “travel the world” using those discounts.

Her husband gently corrected her, saying “You mean travel around Australia, right?”

She replied no, she meant travel the world.

At which point her husband had to say, “Um…you do remember that Australia is a big island, right? You can’t take a train from here to a different country…”

Watching the realisation dawn on her was pretty funny. 😂

It took my son until almost middle school to realize a song we sang about black socks never getting dirty the longer you wear them the stronger they get was a joke 😂😂 he thought black socks never get dirty

Technically I guess you could drive to Alaska and I think there might be ferries to Russia, but you'd need a visa to go through Russia and Belarus into Poland and from there it's easier to go to Italy. It think some famous actor did it but I don't remember who it was. It takes a very long time anyways.
