Once in a call with friends, we all reminisced over the phases of the OSC and how different each year was in retrospect. And i thought it can make a really interesting video! to show the contrast from 2010 to this current year.

I think AIB will keep the PowerPoint sub-community alive a little bit longer considering It's probably the biggest object show we've had in like 2-3 years (I mean episode 1 has a million views). Granted AIB's animation is of such a high standard that It's hard to classify it as a powerpoint show at all so there's that to consider.

This is an incredibly well thought out video about the OSC, and I definitely agree with the eras you have come up with!
It's been an incredible honour to be part of this community, let alone for this long.
Your message at the end certainly speaks to a lot of us who have been here for a long time, that includes me as well. I think that's something truly special to take away as more of us spend more time in a community and we see each other grow up and face new challenges.
Thank you for this retrospective video!

These two guys literally shaped a childhood icon for me, and OVER 1, 000, 000 people too.
Thank you, Huang Twins.

And now we're in the holiday object show era,
where shows like The Christmasly Object Show, The Lovely Object Show, and The Almost Valentinesly Object Show exist with the sole purpose of releasing a new episode once a year. However, they all have a small number of contestants, ranging from 5-8 people.
Man by the end of 2022 we're gonna have an object show for every holiday of the year

I joined at the beginning of the bfdia pause era and left before idfb came out. I'm not in the community anymore but it's still fun to see what the community is up to every once in a while from an outsider's perspective

You NEED to make more videos like this, this is actually super well done! I joined during the Powerpoint era and almost every single powerpoint show makes me nostalgic lol

I literally watched the first episode of bfdi in 2016 and binged the whole thing later, when I then found out about II I was really confused why their was this fan made version, but watched it anyway because I was really into bfdi. Now I'm just now finding out this is it's whole genre, and even has a whole damn community. As someone who's known about bfdi for years, it's kinda mind blowing

I don’t know which era in specific, but I remember I joined the community when katyj98 was doing the bfdi trivia series. Woah it’s been a while!

Im proud to be one of those people that got to be in the first era of the ocs
This video really made me think how far we’ve come
I remember ALL of those freaking object shows

I discovered BFDI in 2013 after YouTube kept shoving it onto my recommended, and I still enjoy it even after a whole decade. I’ve never really interacted that much with the community, but object shows have made such a huge impact on me in my life and I couldn’t be happier to be a part of it and watch it grow over the years! :)

I honestly miss a lot of old powerpoint object shows.. even though I wasn't there during it's prime it's still kind of sad to look through all of the lost and abandoned object shows in general. As of now the only ongoing powerpoint object show I can think of is AIB, and it's kind of cool in a way. Like the last remaining kind of an almost-extinct species of object shows.

Feels like I missed out on a huge chuck of Bfdi/OSC, especially joining early 2021 :/
But great vid!

I must admit, this is quite far one of the most recent professional videos I've seen in the object show community. This is amazing!

Of course I joined the community in 2012 (literally ten years) and everything you said about every year (or in this case, era) is accurate.
