My goals with this channel are to help people deal with suffering in their lives and achieve a balance. Suffering is inevitable and is a fundamental truth. How we deal with it is the problem. I believe it is best dealt with through two practices, one of the physical nature and one of a cerebral nature. I hope to inspire others to develop their own balance through the practices of the physical and creative.

Great interview and very inspiring. I am a catholic, a mother of 3 and in my mid forties. I discovered bjj about 3 years ago, when I got the invitation of a friend to try some new form of exercise. As a catholic, I worried at times that this sport could be a problem for cristians, but I feel great when training, mentally and physically. It is wonderful to know that catholics can train jiujitsu, and know that there are priests like father Ryan practicing and competing in jiujitsu. Very inspiring. I wish, saw this interview in 2019. Father Ryan is probably purple or brown belt by now.
