A Message To Sig Spammers in Brawlhalla

Dear Brawlhalla players,
I have been playing Brawlhalla for about a week now, and overall, I really enjoy the game so far. That being said, playing ranked is an interesting experience. About a quarter of my games, I play regular players who have at least half a brain, but the other seventy five percent are the scourge of silver elo, the sig spammers, with a brain to balls ratio of zero, they don’t have a brain. Before getting into the main portion of this video, if you know someone who is a sig spammer, please send them this video and hope that they will develop at least one brain cell in their empty head.
Alright, first I’ll talk about my experience with sig spammers in my first couple of days, and then I’ll elaborate on why I think people decide to limit their options to 3 slow moves. When I started to play ranked, I’m gonna be honest, sig spammers beat me fairly often because I was bad at the game (I mean I still am, but not to the same extent). I had like zero knowledge of how to avoid sigs and what different legends sigs are, so I lost a lot. After some practice and advice from Lormen and Mega Gamer, plats in the game who I look up to, I’m able to beat sig spammers consistently. That’s right. It only took me about three days to learn how to beat these degenerate players.
So why do people do this when it is so easy to play against? First of all, it’s probably because so many people play it. If a new player sees someone in ranked attacking you with a sig and it lands, that player would start to habitually use those moves themselves. I mean, they do knock back more than light attacks, so it makes sense to them. But they are easier to dodge, right? They are easier to punish, right? Well, the second reason people use sig spam is because their opponents are easy to predict and their movement is trash, so all the weaknesses of sigs don’t matter at all. In fact, adding onto both the points so far, if two silvers are against each other, then how would one player punish the other after using a sig? Obvious use a combo or string, right? No, the correct answer is definitely to use a sig of your own because… I don’t fucking know, it knocks them back more when they are at 20 damage taken? *Sigh* I don’t know, I guess that I’ll conclude this part by saying that players spam sigs because logic that a three year old could understand is hard for a Brawlhalla player to understand.
If you are a sig spammer, this is where I tell you to fucking stop. That’s right, for the rest of the video, I’m addressing you directly. I think the most obvious reason is that if you make this playstyle into habit and somehow (I don’t really know how), but somehow make it to plat, I hope you enjoy your only five minutes in plat. Trust me, I might not be in plat, but I know people in plat and diamond who sig spammers wouldn’t even last 2 minutes against. What’s probably confusing for you to understand seeing considering that you are a sig spammer is that there are players in silver and especially gold who have twice your brainpower and can beat you without a problem. I mean, all your opponent has to do is wait, dodge the sig, and then punish. Rinse and repeat, over and over again, until you are knocked off the stage three times. So if you are against a player with even a little knowledge in movement, you’re basically screwed.
Okay, so if you decided to stop, all you have to do is just learn basic movement and some true combos. I’m not a good source for this kind of thing, I’m still pretty new to the game, but there a many different combo and string guides for every single weapon on YouTube, so use some of those. Once you can do that, just beat every sig spammer by dodging their sigs and punishing them. And now, when you are up against a non-sig spammer, you actually have a chance of winning.
In this replay, I do a lot of that against someone who I don’t even think knows what the light attack button is. Yes, I kind of fucked up more often than I usually would, but as you can see, we have a stupid player who can’t not use a sig, and it was a pretty straightforward win for me. I dodged and punished. And I’m a new player who has only had the game for a week. Will you seriously have your months of mashing the sig button result in losing to a noob? If so, by all means, keep spamming sigs. Also, gotta give props to this guy who doesn’t know what the light attack button is and still managed to stay in silver.

one of the I found out which turned out to be super efficient is to just... not let them get a weapon. If a weapon happens to spawn, drop your current one, *and start fucking booking it*

I like the video, but there are a lot o spammers even in high Plat. They aren't braindead spammers but smart spammers. They will run away and wait for you.
