I Have problem with my webasto thermo top evo passat b8 2016. First my Old water pump broke so i change it Webasto started working, but after about 20 minutes, when I turned it off, the error "heating time exceeded" was entered: 0386 vcds. Can you help me with this ?

Nice to see how it all fits together. I have to do something with mine. It doesnt start. Pump is sounding and after a while i get the Fa9 error on the control display. I dont get any hits when googling it. If i start the car and then the webasto (evo 5 i think) it most often start and keeps running after i turn off the engine. But when i turn off the heater i get the Fa9-error again. Sometimes inget "Te4". The problems re more noticible when below -10c.

Hej. Om man har en värmare med dubbla kretskort som du visar i videon. Hur går man tillväga för att få den att gå som en parkeringsvärmare? Måste den omprogrammeras eller kopplar man bara på tillbehören som fjärrmottagare, IPCU m.m?

Thanks for a great video. I have a VW Passat which Is broken. It is a Thermo top VEVO, do you know if I can replace it with a Thermo top VEVO but with a different VW number? I can't find anything about it. Regards

Question for you.
I get the fault code that circulation pump is shorted. I've changed the pump but the problem is still there. From what I've understood the ECU might be damaged then, shame it seems impossible to find a replacement ECU.

A Hungarian company called NorX sells aftermarket ECU's for these but they are just a single board not the two boards in a 90° configuration. I'm guessing that wouldn't help my problem.

Helo. I have thermo top evo on my golf 7. About 2 months ago I changed recirculation pump, and it worked till now. Now stopped working and the diagnosis shows overheating. What is the next step to do in your opinion? Thanks and best regards.

Bra video! Min brännare på stilla stående parkering pre heat startar i 5 minuter sen slocknar den! Tror de kan vara cirkulationspump! Går de att öppna en pump och slipa magnet och rengöra så den fungerar igen?

Grym video! Jag har en Termo Top V som försöker starta, ryker ordentligt sen stannar. Känner aldrig några varma avgaser. Får Felkod på flame not detected och over heating. Fläkt och pump funkar. Vad skulle du bytt på den? Ha de gott!

I have an webasto Thermo Top V on an VW Tiguan and he workt fine, but in one morning started to give a lot of white smoke ( smeling of diesel ) but a lot of smoke and its start to drip diesel on its exhaust

What do you think are the best heaters, in terms of cost-repair value, heating speed, noise level and reliability? V, Evo, Vevo (what is this one? never understood). Many of these heaters are all available from scrapped cars, but its difficult to choose one for retrofitting to my car. I guess a W-bus start module is necessary anyways when not on the original intended car. I know the webasto C is good, but it's too big. How about Eberspaechers, like d4ws, d5ws? All popular, but I honestly have no experience with them. I do have one of those chinise coolant heaters, but it's crap and very noisy.

Nice video! All TT V models can communicate via W Bus? I have one from Touran and want to install to my CC, but with w bus emulator! Have tried to bench with WTT softafe with kkl cable various windows, various drivers, but no success! I have read, that all TT V cannot communicate via W Bus! Thats right?

Webasto TT-V, at least in Volvos, have a nasty property to stop working after its burning time has exceeded 800h. It just stops heating although it has all its components in pristine condition. Like a modern printer which gives up after having printed programmed # of pages :)
Quite laborious to get an 800hour TT-V back to life, it is possible but not that easy, therefore a film on this would be nice to have...

I have a webasto in a ML w164 2009. It starts and works for about 2-3 minutes. I can hear the fan going and the exhaust warms up but then the heater just stops working. What should i do with it?

My Thermo Top V stopped working in my Volvo V70 too. Fault code says glow plug fault and I'm going to try and change it when I get a new one. Is there any way of contacting you for tips when I fail with my experiments? :D
