Thank you, sir, for your service to the community.
Your channel (and Seth Skorkowski's) are the only channels I watch for reviews since you evaluate the games, not just the aesthetics.

That record of your games is awesome. What a cool Legacy.

That’s the kind of art Wizards should be putting in their D&D books.

Amazing thanks for reviewing this back in 2020 Prof DM. I bought this as a Christmas present for a family member a few years ago and now keen to get my on copy. We player Presidents and … 20+ years ago in high school.

Wow! That really looks a lot of fun! Also, thank you for including your decades spanning game journal. I thought my wife was the master of keeping score. You just helped me put it in perspective.

The amount of play and fun my gaming groups got out of this game since the mid-2000's is astounding. Some seriously great laughs and even roleplay with some improvised props and a thrown made out of a folding chair placed on a banquet table.

Cool, it's Tycoon, huh?
That's my senpai!

A fun home rule you can use for this game that I learned about in Persona 5 is revolution rules.

When a player plays four cards of the same rank, a revolution is declared. When a revolution is declared, the card ranks are reversed, the strongest becomes the weakest, the weakest become the strongest, and the fools are unchanged.
A player can play another set of 4 cards themselves and perform a counter revolution, which returns card rankings back to normal.

My in-laws are obsessed with this game. Never have been a big fan of non-narrative driven games myself, but this would make for a great Christmas gift. Great video as always.

Picked this game up last week. Been meaning to learn how to play Three Dragon Ante as well for some D&D games. Great review, always love your enthusiasm.

In Australia, I grew up with it as "Warlords and Scumbags."

We played so much of that when I was in high school. The variety with just the regular deck of cards though.

Have you ever considered doing a review of the board game Talisman?

So I have been playing a version of this game called President aka A**hole for years. From Scout Camp to college parties.
It can be played with a normal deck of cards with the following additional rules (At least how I learned it):
Ace is high, high card is better, 2s and red 3s are 'clear cards'.
On the first round the player with the 3 of clubs starts. On subsequent rounds it is the President
If you play the same number as the person before you it skips the next player.
If you can complete the four of a kind you may play out of order. This clears the pile.
If all you have left are clear cards you have gone out and may give your clears to another player.
If it goes a complete time around the table with everyone passing it clears the pile.
Black threes count as a complete set for purposes of playing out of order and clearing the pile.
The came continues until all players run out of cards.
If a player is President 3 times in a row they may make a new rule such as 7s change direction, then the game starts over with the 3 of clubs leading.

See below for Drinking Rules.

I picked up Grand Dalmuti years ago, mainly with the idea of using as a prop in roleplaying games. It is fun seeing that idea going the other way.

We played a variation of this game with standard playing cards except it was called A--Hole. The positions were Big Boss, Little Boss, Worker and A--hole.
