Ford NP205 rebuild

I am getting to the end of the doubler builder series. I decided to rebuild my Ford NP205 to do some minor upgrades, a shave, and some general maintenance. My case was built in 1977, so it was due for a rebuild. **Warning** This is a longer video based on the level of detail I try to show.

Here are some of the parts I used
Here is a kit that I didnt know about, but should cover all the internal mods I did in one pricetag

Modified Shift rails.

I cannot find the link for the rebuild kit. Search around. There are a bunch of them out there.

I am literally doing a rebuild on my Ford NP205 this weekend. Thanks for making the video. Appreciate your time to going hrough this.

One thing I noticed is you didn't put the seal on the input shaft. You said you were going to do a little more research. My input has a double lip seal in that retainer location. My application is a Ford married NP205 in a 1979 Bronco, so it may be different, but I'm pretty sure you need that seal there.

Looks way beefier than the 241. I may have to build a doubler for my next one 🤔

Lol putting a pin in with a screw - "nailed it!".

Looking forward to seeing you get this in FM. This is on my list of 'maybe one day projects'.

What is the benefit of the shiny bits from NWF? Purely aesthetic? Or do they serve a function? I'm cheap and trying to see where I can save a nickel.
