Bought a Kirby G4 in 1993, i think. Bought the Dyson, and they work. Love not having to change the bag it they have been light weight. Recently re-carpeted the house with “plush” soft carpet. The Dyson, well, you can’t adjust the vacuum for this type of carpet. You know what worked great? The Kirby. After all these years it works fantastic. It has the best attachments. I’ve done tune ups occasionally, replaced the cord, and done a few maintenance things, but that’s it. It is the best vacuum on the market. 27 years and going strong! No one paid me to say that!

I still have a my Heritage II, and the only real upgrade that machine has seen is HEPA bags, still cleans like a champ, Kirby's are workhorses of the vacuum industry, I was actually surprised to see that the Legend had a fire coverage in the warranty, and to will it to next of kin, im not sure if Kirby still does this or not, but id still not trade my Heritage 2 for any other vacuum on the market

I used to sell Kirby vacuums. They are by far the greatest vacuum ever. But the sales company I worked for, man they were shady. Stereotypical greasy snake-oil salesmen when they had an amazing product! It was weird.

The vacuum cleaner is only as good as the management/service. From my experience, Kirby is a krook. After a couple of years, Kirby told me to get a free checkup which I did but then I had to pay a 2, 500 NIS bill for an engine overhaul and parts. Also, I couldn't buy one vacuum bag but rather had to buy 6 bags for 600 NIS which was a few years ago. A short time ago I asked for a price on a broken hose part/attachment and was quoted a price of 250 NIS. I could buy the entire hose including that part for 250 NIS via internet. Kirby has earned themselves to become a once "Mercedes" of vacuum cleaners to now a large expensive pile of kirby krap.

What is the difference between the Kirby Availir 2 vs Avalir 1?

I have a G6 Back in time and I just sold it to my friend. I also have an Avalir G10D that I traded with a Sentria 2 because I love the classic look of the Sentria 😋.

I've been through Miele, Dyson, Sebo, Shark, but Kirby is just.. BETTER! And I am planning now on collecting Kirby's.

Kirby is truly the best of the best in not just preformance but reliability something very few companies care about these days. My Ultimate G Diamond edition (G7D) still runs like new. Sticking with the original metal and direct fan/dirty air design is what makes them stick out from the competition.

And is it me or did the A2's color scheme take some inspiration from the Tradition?

I had a Kirby for many years when I lived in America and had no problems. Since I moved to Israel and bought a Kirby I have had nothing but problems. The management of Kirby is a crook. Me and my relatives and neighbor's who have a Kirby have been cheated by Kirby and are constantly badgered by their office to repair and replace parts. My sister in law told Kirby to stop calling or she will take them to court. I am on my way to the garbage can to dump my Kirby. For what it costs to maintain a Kirby, I could save a lot more money, time and effort to hire someone to clean my house.

I own 6 and have owned 10-20. I also own all of irobot and Roybi and and and. I seen to like and use Kirby due to others poor vacuum and poor design. Robot will never work for me I like to leave socks or shoes or ?? on the floor so robot are just not smart enought yet. Maybe if Tesla makes a FSD vacuum I will be the first to buy one
