My favorites are the Symbiote suit, stealth suit, Kaine Parker's Scarlet Spider (which used to be the stealth suit), Iron Spider, and Ends of the Earth armor.

The funny thing about the black suit is that fans initially hated it and Venom was created as a reason to have Spiderman stop wearing it. Now it's one of his popular suits and probably his most well known besides his default look.

Don't forget that the iron spider suit is made of smart nanites that can change the appearance of the suit based on Peter's thoughts, sort of like a technological mood ring. So, when Kingpin went after Peter's family, Peter had the iron spider suit look like the black suit.

Ya know, there was a period when Spidey himself heavily invested in the idea, or the perception, that "THE Spider-Man" was gone for good. (I read about it in "Marvel's Encyclopedia of Spider-Man, " not in the pages of "Amazing Spider-Man, " and I lost that book when my house burned down in 2009, so the details I provide probably won't be entirely accurate.) However, Peter Parker could not just give up on super-heroing, so he and Mary-Jane created 4 characters for him to embody while patrolling NYC, with 4 separate costumes. Each one focused on a different aspect of his powers.
There was a character named Ricochet (I think), he looked like a cross between Gambit, Spider-Man, and 90's Superboy, and he used agility and dexterity (with some throwing stars shaped like an "R") to fight crime. There were 2 others that I don't remember. And there was a character whose name I can't remember, but he used a costume that he got from an alternate dimension, that was black and gave him special powers, and was not the Venom symbiote at all. I think he called himself Shade, or something like that, and his powers were somehow related to Cloak. I don't know, but it looked badass.
